Shannon has a bachelor's in Sociology and an Associates in business, she has been with Agate and zAmya for 7+ years. She also teaches puppetry with a colleague and writing workshops,she also delivers harm reduction supplies to encampments and holds sessions for Agate donors to educate them on homelessness, the penal system and addiction. As someone with lived experience, and a past including train hopping, hitchhiking across the country, addiction, prison, physical and sexual violence and who has and still experienced discrimination due to alternative life style preferences, she is actively trying to change minds and hearts and bring about awareness and change for the communities experiencing these things through art and education.
