Debra Alexander has many years of experience working in the higher education, non-profit and for profit, and public service sectors. A former Federal employee, she worked for HHS and OPM, and served a ten-year appointment as a Special Government Expert for the Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Transportation.

Deb is passionate about promoting and sustaining employee engagement, building positive relationships, and improving individual, team, leadership and organizational performance. She and her husband, Ben Alexander, create award winning training videos and instructional products that are key components of DEI training and initiatives for many organizations across the US. Their anti-racism training video, “All In,” has won the 2023 Telly award in the Corporate Training: Diversity & Inclusion Category (distributor: www.sollah.com). 

Deb completed doctoral studies at Teachers College, Columbia University and the University of St. Thomas (MN). She holds an M.S. in Human Resources and Organization Development from the American University and a BA in English Literature from Hampton University. She has a post-graduate certification in Organization & Systems Development from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and currently serves on the faculty of Georgetown University’s Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership program.
