Brittany “bk” King (she/her/king) is a poet, playwright, actor, and cultural organizer from South Florida. Bk utilizes film/digital video, music/sound, photography, and theatre to ignite our radical imaginations and create new narratives that she hopes will challenge the status quo and transform our world. Bk is writing her first collaborative play with Donkeysaddle Projects entitled, “Yo Te Esperaba '' an immersive play chronicling the life, and detainment, of reproductive justice and immigrant rights organizer Alejandra Pablos. Bk is currently a fellow with The City Theatre of Miami’s Homegrown Playwright Fellowship. She has been an active member of the Dream Defenders since 2014, and is based in Miami, FL.
