Dream Defender & Descolonizarte TEATRO Grantwriter, Producer, and Program Designer. aaron is a scholar/artist and activist/organizer working between Lenapehoking (nyc) and Timucua, Seminole, and Miccosukee lands (Central Florida). They are a National Queer Theater (NQT) board member, and adjunct professor of world religions at Valencia College (Orlando), theater, and peace and justice studies at Pace University (nyc), where they are also activist-in-residence in the peace and justice studies program. They facilitate courageous conversations with the Peace and Justice Institute (PJI, in so-called Orlando), and are Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) lead coordinator at Theater With a Mission in historic Anhaica (so-called Tallahassee, Florida). aaron is an organizing member of Dream Defenders in both Orlando and NYC, and co-organizes cultural resistance rallies, marches, and other events that lift up Palestinian voices, arts, and stories, toward a permanent ceasefire now, an end to apartheid occupation, and Palestinian liberation. aaron is a contributing member of the Jewish Voice for Peace Havurah Network, and is one of two co-editors of PTO’s Pedagogy and Theater of the Oppressed Journal.
